The Bailey House is an elegant bed and breakfast inn located in the historic district of Elm City, NC. Our establishment is located near Wilson and Rocky Mount, a few miles from US Highway 301. The Bailey House Bed & Breakfast is just a leisurely stroll away from a quaint downtown and a few local attractions.

The inside of the home is accented with modern and antique furniture. We also display a large teapot collection, other knickknacks, and several pieces of artwork from the local artist society.

The Bailey House grounds feature a lovely front porch that faces Main Street and a view of several maple trees. The backyard features a large patio area that includes a flower garden, gazebo with table and chairs, and small deck.
The Bailey House features non-smoking guest rooms. Guest rooms are named for the family history of the current and previous owners of the home. All rooms feature Tempur-Pedic® beds, beautiful floors, lovely window treatments, and interesting antiques. The Bailey House has four bedrooms and three baths. 

Although we are a pet-friendly family, we do not allow pets in the home. There are several local vets that provide boarding, if necessary.

Elm City is a small town located between Wilson and Rocky Mount, NC adjacent to US Hwy 301. Incorporated on December 18, 1873, the Town of Elm City was originally called the “Town of Toisnot.” There were several attempts to change the name to Elm City over a 40-year period; it was finally approved on October 11, 1913.

The town of Elm City features a down-home “Mayberry” type atmosphere. The town has a small pharmacy that features milkshakes, ice cream, a soda fountain, and a small gift shop. Also located in Elm City are a frame shop, antique shop, furniture store, and several churches. The current population of Elm City is approximately 1,400 citizens.
